This will be my fourth time attending BAM Fest and all I can say is that if you enjoy craft beer, live in the Los Angeles area and have never attended BAM Fest, you are doing yourself a disservice. From the first time I attended in 2012 I have been nothing but impressed; and the event just seems to get bigger and better every year and 2015 appears to be no exception.
The current list of beer and cider vendors totals 38, with six food trucks available to pair with your favorite beer and live music provided by three groups.
BAM Fest will feature just about all your favorite local craft breweries including Smog City, Monkish, Strand, Phantom Carriage and Three Weavers. Additional powerhouse breweries like Firestone Walker, Dogfish Head, Drake’s and Ballast Point will also be in attendance.
One of my favorite things about BAM Fest is that they always seem to introduce a new brewery to the mix. In 2012 Phantom Carriage was a new brewery featured, last year Santa Monica Brew Works was a very fun discovery. This year I look forward to investigating Dr. Jekyll’s and trying more from Revolution Brewing.
BAM Fest 2015 will run from 1:00-5:00 PM at the 18th Street Arts Center in Santa Monica. There are limited tickets currently available at $40.00 if you order them online; however, as usual I have gotten a discount for my readers. When ordering your tickets online use PROMO CODE: CraftBeerGuy and you will save $5.00 per ticket. If there are any left at the gate they will be $50.00 each. Please visit http://18thstreet.org/bam. 18th Street Arts Center is located at 1639 18th Street in Santa Monica; I hope to see you there. Cheers!
