These photos were taken Saturday afternoon at Burnin’ Daylight Brewing Company in Lomita, where they held their Small Town Feel Summer Beer Festival. Like their grand opening of a few months ago, they took full advantage of their parking lot and ability to pour guest taps by utilizing several pouring stations to provide 20 different brews, including several collaboration brews.
The tap list showcased just how busy Burnin’ Daylight co-founder and head brewer Brendon Lake has been over the last few months. Burnin’ Daylight brews included their Brewtiful Blueberry Blonde, Strawberry Lemon Lager, Raspberry Lime Grove, Small Town Feel DIPA, Nana’s Porter with Peanut Butter, Rolling Pils, Switchgear Imperial Stout aged bourbon barrels, Bourbon Daylight, Dark Harbor Coconut on Nitro, and Peach Sour Dry Hopped with Citra.
Their collaboration brews included a Peach Sour collaboration with HopSaint, Wild Mission collaboration with HopSaint, and Gamera Hazy Double/Double Dry Hopped collaboration with Tortugo Brewing. There was also a collaboration by Kern River Brewing and Burgeon Beer Company, Juiced Right Hazy IPA.
Additional guest taps included Coffee Porter from Smog City, Foam Top from Beachwood, Festbier from HopSaint, Notorious P.O.G. from Stone, White Dog from El Segundo Brewing, and Neltra from Riip Beer.
Live music was provided by The Hollow Legs, who totally rocked it. The Burnin’ Daylight kitchen provided street tacos that smelled delicious.
It was a nice day with temperatures in the high 70’s, with a pleasant breeze that reminded me why the South Bay is such a great place to live.
Congratulations to Burnin’ Daylight on another fun event; Lomita is lucky to have you. Cheers!
