Don’t miss the LA Beer Week Kickoff Festival

The 11th Annual L.A. Beer Week begins this Saturday, June 15, and runs through the following Saturday, June 22. As usual, the week’s festivities will begin with the LA Brewers Kickoff at Los Angeles Center Studios. This year the official end of L.A. Beer Week will be Eat Drink Vegan on Saturday, June 22nd at the Rose Bowl. Naturally, there will be events happening pretty much every day of the week at various breweries and craft beer bars.

The Brewers Kickoff Festival is definitely the event you want to attend as it will feature 90 independent craft breweries showcasing more than 250 unique beers, local food vendors, and live music. VIP ticket holders get in at noon, with General Admission beginning an hour later. There is no guarantee tickets will be available at the door, so buy your tickets today on Eventbrite.

Other events of interest include a beer and pizza pairing done by seven Certified Cicerones at El Segundo Brewing’s The Slice and Pint on Wednesday, June 19 from 6:00 – 10:30 PM. The seven Certified Cicerones that will be doing the pairings are Tom Kelley from El Segundo Brewing Co / The Slice & Pint, Greg Bechtel from Simmzy’s, Jonathan Porter from Smog City, Hal Mooney from LA Beer Hop, Cindy Mooney from LA Beer Hop, Blanca Quintero from Firestone Walker, and Jace Milstead from Craft Beer Guild LA. This is a non-ticketed event; you just buy your own pizza and beer.

The following day, Thursday, June 20, Naja’s Place will host the Battle of the Guilds tap takeover. The event will feature 15 breweries each from the Los Angeles, Bay Area, and San Diego Brewers Guilds. This free to attend event runs from 6:00 – 10:00 PM.

Like I said, there are events all over Los Angeles, pretty much every day of the week, so I suggest you visit LABeerWeek.org for the official calendar. Cheers!
