South Bay Beer and Wine Festival 10th Anniversary Photos

These photos were taken Sunday afternoon, May 21, at Ernie Howlett Park in Rolling Hills Estates, where the Rotary Clubs of San Pedro, Palos Verdes Peninsula, and South Bay Sunrise held the South Bay Beer and Wine Festival 10th Anniversary. The event featured food, beer, wine, and spirits from more than 100 local providers, including Smog City, HopSaint, Firestone Walker, El Segundo Brewing, Rock & Brews, Shore Grille, Truxton’s, Tito’s Vodka, and many more.

With how lousy our weather has been lately, it is kind of amazing how the last few weekends have been perfect for a day of day drinking in the park. The beer gods have definitely smiling upon us lately with the weather they have been providing. I actually got my first sunburn of 2023.

The South Bay Beer & Wine Festival is a fundraiser, with all proceeds from ticket sales going right back into our community. This is a non-profit event produced by Rotarians volunteering skills and labor, and they do a great job; the event seems to get better every year. Apparently my readers bought a lot of tickets to the event; so many that I was asked where I was doing my advertising. I just explained that you are all faithful followers and know a good deal when you see one.

As I have attended every South Bay Beer and Wine Festival since 2015, this event has become almost a reunion for me; having not only become friendly with many of the vendors, there are also numerous attendees that I see every year. There is a reason why I suggest that this is one of the best craft beer festivals around here, and the attendees play a great part in that.

Congratulations to the Rotary Club of San Pedro, Rotary Club of Palos Verdes Peninsula, and Rotary Club of South Bay Sunrise, Beer Paper, Suzy Zimmerman Insurance Agency, Fast Signs, and all the other sponsors and volunteers on putting on another fun event. Cheers!
