Photos from the TrustedGut Soft Open Preview

These photos were taken Saturday and Sunday at the new TrustedGut Brewing location in Redondo Beach, where they held what was described as their “soft open preview” which will officially begin on Tuesday.

Saturday and Sunday were primarily open so TrustedGut could get a grasp on how things would go as well as an opportunity to complete some of the finish work to get the taproom ready for the throngs that have been waiting for the former King Harbor Brewing location to reopen. This included figuring out NFL Sunday Ticket, which was definitely a welcome addition.

I visited on both days to get an idea on how many regulars would show up, and if you were a KHBC regular, you will recognize several faces. It was great having a bunch of old friends show up.

The TrustedGut soft open officially begins tomorrow, Tuesday, and will run for a few weeks. They currently have an American Lager, Mexican Lager, Blonde Ale, Pale Ale, and Hard Kombucha available on tap, with an IPA and Hard Seltzer to appear soon. All pints are $5.00 each during the soft open.

Some of you may have heard rumors that TrustedGut will be releasing Tiki Hut, a King Harbor favorite, and while the rumor is true, it is only part of the story. As part of TrustedGut’s purchase of the 182nd Street equipment, TrustedGut also has the right to brew any of King Harbor’s recipes. With that in mind, effective Tuesday, TrustedGut will be allowing customers to vote on which King Harbor brews they want to see return; so if you have an opinion, do not hesitate to show up, have a beer or two, and place your vote.

For now TrustedGut will be opening at noon, Tuesday through Sunday. Hours will fluctuate while they determine what works best for them and their customers.

TrustedGut Brewing is located at 2907 182nd Street in Redondo Beach. They are dog and family friendly, and while they don’t have food yet, it is in the plans, so feel free to bring your own for the time being. I hope to see you there; cheers!
