These photos were taken Saturday afternoon at the Burnin’ Daylight Brewing Company, a brewpub in Lomita that was celebrating its 5th Anniversary with food specials, live music, and a couple can releases.
As I mentioned in my last article Saturday was a very busy for me so I didn’t arrive at Burnin’ Daylight until the last hour of the event, but judging by the smiles in the photos, everyone was having a blast.
By the time I arrived, local favorites Electric Blue were on stage finishing up what I was told was an amazing set, with some real shredding going on.
I was told that things like glassware were being given out earlier in the day.
I think the highlight of the event for me personally was the release of their Burn 5 anniversary IPA. Made with Simcoe, Citra, Strata, Mosaic, and Nelson hops, all I can say is that those five varieties certainly play well together. Since it is that time of year, they also released their Once in a Blue Room triple IPA.
Congratulations to the entire Burnin’ Daylight crew on a fun event and five years of amazing beers. Cheers!
