These photos were taken in the Beermuda Triangle area of Torrance, on almost a weekly basis, beginning in June 2023 and continuing until February 13, 2025, of the newest soon to be open taproom in Torrance; HopSaint at the Ditch.
Nestled along the shores of the scenic Torrance River on Del Amo Brewlevard, HopSaint’s newest taproom is almost ready to begin welcoming their fans to HopSaint at the Ditch; and when I say “almost ready” I mean probably within the next two weeks.
So, if you are anything like me, you might be wondering why “The Ditch” – well, that was one of the first questions I asked HopSaint Head of Operations, Steve Roberts; actually I think I initially suggested using a different name than “The Ditch” but Steve was adamant that it would be “The Ditch” and he had a pretty good story behind his decision. It was in homage to his days as a merchant marine.
“The Ditch” is a nickname for the Atlantic Intracoastal Waterway (ICW), which stretches from Norfolk, Virginia to Key West, Florida. The ICW is a waterway that connects many natural bodies of water with man-made canals. As what I call the Torrance River is definitely man-made, it kind of makes sense.
These photos reflect the progress that has been made at this new taproom, but you can be sure that there will be additional improvements as time goes on. They have a large area that will make a nice beer garden, but there is a process, so give them a little time.
HopSaint at the Ditch is located at 1954 Del Amo Boulevard in Torrance.
They say a picture is worth 1,000 words, so I will let my photos tell the rest of the story until I have specifics for you, like an official opening date. Until then, congratulations to Steve and all the crew; we eagerly await your opening. Cheers!
