These photos were taken Saturday evening at the Scholb Premium Ales brewery and tasting room, in Torrance, where Scholb celebrated their seventh anniversary with a very nicely attended celebration.
The free to attend event featured food from Buddha Boy Tacos, live music by The Brian Sisson Band, a bouncy house for the kids, free pie, and two new beer releases.
I will admit, I was a little apprehensive about an anniversary party that did not start until 4:00 PM, but I guess that just means I am getting old, because I arrived at 4:30 and they were already filling up; and people kept arriving through the night.
The tap list of 24 craft beers and two seltzers included two anniversary brews, including their Family Business IPA and Opa’s Slice, a rhubarb/strawberry sour which tasted like rhubarb pie.
Speaking of pie; since everyone knows pie trumps cake, after enjoying dinner from Buddha Boy Tacos, there was lots of free pie including apple, razzleberry, and my favorite, rhubarb.
Congratulations to Jason, Allison and the entire Scholb crew on achieving seven years of brewing and putting on a fun event. Cheers!
