These photos were taken Saturday afternoon at The Dudes’ Brewing Company Torrance location where they celebrated their 10th anniversary of brewing in Torrance. The event featured live music, games, a food popup, and vendors selling clothing, plants, chocolates and coffee. Naturally, there was plenty of Dudes’ beer available for the attendees.
To be honest, I think this was the first anniversary party put on by The Dudes’, and I am not sure why they did not publicize this more, but the end result of the lack of publicity is that there were not very many people there. Luckily, since I had advertised it, I ran into several friends and Craft Beer Guy followers.
While they did not have an anniversary beer, there were about 16 brews available on draft as well as in cans and bottles. Between the beers, the mellow sounds of the Free Radical Trio, conversation with friends, and petting the numerous puppies that showed up, it made for a pleasant couple of hours.
I don’t think it is any secret that the last couple of years have not exactly been kind to Dudes’ Brewing, I suspect the timing of their expansion of new tasting rooms in the COVID era did not help much, but they are still producing new (to me) brews and they have survived 10 years, so you have to give them credit for that.
Congratulations to The Dudes’ Brewing Company, you have succeeded in a time that hasn’t been easy for any small business. Here is to 10 more years. Cheers!
