These photos were taken Saturday afternoon at Brouwerij West, in San Pedro, where they celebrated their seventh anniversary. The event featured a morning brunch, food trucks, live music, a DJ, a beer release and games. I probably missed something, but I was only there for a couple of hours, and while the event started at 10:00 AM, it lasted late into the night.
I got there around 2:00 which means I arrived well after the brunch was completed, but I was able to chat with a couple attendees that were still hanging out. Pancakes and stouts made up the primary part of the menu, which sounds like a pretty good way to start the day.
They had several food trucks and a popup; El Chef, Ohana Hibachi, Uncle Al’s Barbecue, and Miller Butler Pizza provided the food. DJ Al Lover performed later in the day, and someone was playing music while I was there, but I don’t know if it was a soundcheck or what. They also had a guy there doing silkscreen shirts on demand.
Brouwerij West had their anniversary beer, 7X7X (Seven Times Seven Times) DIPA, on tap to go with their other 13 beers, four seltzers, and their slushy. 7X7X is also available in cans to-go.
I know I don’t get out there often enough, but I always have a good time; the amount of dogs there at any one time definitely doesn’t take away from the experience.
Congratulations to the entire Brouwerij West team on seven years and putting on another fun event. Cheers!
