These photos were taken Saturday afternoon, April 29, at Rancho Los Cerritos Historical Site in Long Beach, where Obscura LB put on their second annual Halfway to Halloween Hootenanny. The fundraiser featured craft beer, ciders, kombucha, food, live music, and local vendors peddling everything macabre from books and art to chocolate.
Considering how flaky our weather has been so far this year, it was pretty cool how the weather gods smiled upon us with some amazing beer drinking weather.
With more than 25 breweries in attendance, there was a wide selection of tasty beverages available to appease just about everyone’s palate. A few of the breweries pouring included Ten Mile, Smog City, Project Barley, Eureka Brewing, Beachwood Brewing, Brouwerij West, Topa Topa, Trademark Brewing, Tortugo Brewing, Paperback Brewing, Three Weavers, LA Ale Works, Syncopated, and Ambitious Ales.
A portion of proceeds from the event went to benefit Rancho Los Cerritos, a 501c3 charity, to support and benefit the historic landmark.
Food was available for purchase from festival favorites such as Shady Grove Foods, Fonda Tobala, and Leaf Over Beef.
In a nutshell, this was another fun event put together by Craft Beer LB and Festival Obscura; it seems that every event they put on is just a little better than the last one.
Congratulations to Martin, Dennis, Festival Obscura, Craft Beer LB and all the participating breweries, vendors, and volunteers that made it a great Saturday afternoon. Cheers!
